This ensures that the product you’ve purchased is securely and seamlessly integrated within your property. All our carpets come with long-term guarantees.
Below, we’ve looked to provide some more information on the various styles of carpets that we sell. We’ve also provided information on the vinyl flooring we stock, and the work we undertake as upholsterers. For at Playstow Furnishing, it’s our aim to be a one-stop shop for decorating your home with stunning yet practical finery.
LOOP PILE – These carpets are unsheared, with their piles left as loops constructed in varying weights and thicknesses. This allows them to be made with a textured or patterned appearance that can really help Lingfield, Oxted, East Grinstead, Surrey, Sussex and Kent properties establish or assert their unique aesthetic identity. Our carpet suppliers have loop pile carpets with tight twists, which are characterised by their durability, as well as products with looser twists that are more plush and soft underfoot. Loop pile carpets are usually made from nylon or wool.
CUT PILE – Perhaps the most popular form of carpet amongst our Lingfield, Oxted, East Grinstead, Surrey, Sussex and Kent clients is cut pile. These are sheared in the manufacturing process, which exposes the ends of the carpet’s fibres. This makes them less vulnerable to crushing than competing forms of carpet. They can be sourced from carpet suppliers in various styles, each of which boasts different lengths and thicknesses. Ideal for homeowners with clawed pets.
WOVEN CARPETS – If you’re looking to cultivate a real sense of luxury within your East Grinstead, Lingfield, Oxted, Surrey, Sussex or Kent home, woven carpets are a great choice. They often feature intricate and beautiful patterns, meaning you can really push the boat out when you choose one. Keep in mind, however, that they’re typically more expensive than the loop and cut pile products you’ll find at our carpet suppliers. This category includes Axminster carpets, which have a very velvety feel to them and often come in bold colours and designs. Our carpet suppliers also sell Wilton carpets, which are similar to Axminster carpets. They’re manufactured in a traditional manner, and offer durability in addition to good looks. Then there’s the flat weave variety, manufactured in a similar way to Wilton carpets but which feature a more textured finish.
OTHER CARPETS – These aren’t the only types of carpet that you can pick out for your Lingfield, Oxted or East Grinstead property or, indeed, for any properties in the surrounding three counties. There are others that don’t fit into the above categories. There’s cut and loop combo, velvet and shag pile carpets, for example. Each brings something slightly different to the table, and should be considered alongside the more traditional options you’ll find at our carpet suppliers.
